What this amendment would do
SA 3310, submitted by Mr. LEE, is an amendment to bill S. 2296.
The purpose of this amendment is to add Section 1230B to the end of subtitle C of title XII.
It aims to change the law so that, starting on the date the Act is enacted, the President can no longer designate the Russian invasion of Ukraine (which started in February 2022) as an unforeseen emergency under section 506(a)(1) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.
