What this amendment would do

SA 3304, submitted by Mr. Lee, aims to change the Military Selective Service Act by adding a new requirement for the induction of people into the Armed Forces.

The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that no person is inducted for training and service unless Congress first passes and enacts:

  • A law that expressly authorizes the induction into service.
  • A separate law authorizing the number of male persons subject to induction.
  • A separate law authorizing the number of female persons subject to induction.
