What this amendment would do

SA 3300, submitted by Mr. Lee and Ms. Warren, is an amendment to bill S. 2296. The purpose of this amendment is to repeal specific unfunded priorities authorities.

It aims to add Section 1005 to the bill, which would result in the following changes:

  • Defense Budget Matters: Repeals section 222a and the second section designated as section 222e (which relates to unfunded priorities of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering) in Chapter 9 of title 10, United States Code.

  • Military Construction Projects: Repeals Section 2806 of the Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018.

  • National Nuclear Security Administration: Repeals Section 4716 of the Atomic Energy Defense Act and removes the corresponding item from its table of contents.

  • Missile Defense Agency: Repeals Section 5513 of title 10, United States Code.
