What this amendment would do

SA 3252, submitted by Ms. Murkowski, is an amendment to bill S. 2296. This bill deals with authorizations for military activities of the Department of Defense, military construction, and defense activities of the Department of Energy for fiscal year 2026.

The purpose of this amendment is to change Section 2391(d)(1) of title 10, United States Code.

It aims to add the following to the bill:

  • A project chosen for assistance under that subsection can now include a demolition project.
