What this amendment would do

SA 3149, submitted by Mrs. Fischer, aims to expand and extend a pilot program that allows the Department of Veterans Affairs to accept donations.

The amendment intends to change and add the following to the bill:

  • Expansion: It expands the pilot program to include the acceptance of a nonrecurring maintenance project or a minor construction project of the Department.

  • Extension: It extends the date of the program from December 16, 2026, to December 16, 2031.
