What this amendment would do

SA 3134, submitted by Mr. Gallego, aims to add a new subsection to section 922 of bill S. 2296.

The purpose of this amendment is to have the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Energy create a pilot program to deploy microreactors at U.S. military installations.

To strengthen energy resilience.
To reduce reliance on civilian grids that are vulnerable.
