What this amendment would do

SA 2948, submitted by Mrs. Gillibrand, aims to add a section to bill S. 2296 regarding the Reauthorization of Long Island Sound Programs.

The amendment intends to change the following:

  • Long Island Sound Grants: It changes the dates in Section 119(h) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act from "2019 through 2023" to "2025 through 2029".

  • Long Island Sound Stewardship Grants: It changes the dates in Section 11(a) of the Long Island Sound Stewardship Act of 2006 from "2019 through 2023" to "2025 through 2029".

  • Technical Amendment: It redesignates paragraph (4) as paragraph (3) in Section 119(g) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act.
