What this amendment would do

SA 2841, submitted by Mr. Markey, is an amendment to amendment SA 2360 for bill H.R. 1.

The purpose of this amendment is to change the timing or conditions of section 40006(b)(1). It aims to:

  • Strike the phrase "on the date of enactment of this section".

  • Insert language making the action "subject to an analysis by the Secretary of Transportation that finds that households would not pay more in fueling costs as a result of the amendments made by subsection (a)".
