What this amendment would do

Mr. Markey submitted amendment SA 2809 to be proposed to another amendment to the bill H.R. 1. If we want to hold our elected officials accountable, we need to know where the money is going, and this amendment deals with changing specific dollar amounts and how funds are used.

In section 1181(3) of title 14, United States Code, as added by section 40001, it strikes the amount of $266,000,000 and replaces it with $242,000,000.
In section 40008, it adds text after the word rescinded to state that $24,000,000 of the unobligated balance of amounts appropriated or otherwise made available by section 40004 shall be used for a Phased Array Radar Test Article.
