What this amendment would do

This is amendment SA 2799, submitted by Mr. Peters. The purpose of this amendment is to restrict the detention or removal of United States persons from the United States.

To make this change, the amendment adds a new section to subtitle A of title IX. It states that none of the funds made available under that subtitle may be used to detain or remove any United States person from the United States.
