What this amendment would do

Mr. Peters submitted amendment SA 2795 to be proposed to amendment SA 2360 (which was proposed by Mr. Thune for Mr. Graham) to the bill H.R. 1.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a new subsection (d) regarding Buy American Compliance to section 90003.

  • The amendment aims to change the bill by requiring that any funds appropriated by the section for detention capacity must be expended in compliance with chapter 83 of title 41, United States Code, which is commonly known as the Buy American Act.
