What this amendment would do

SA 2761, submitted by Mr. Cornyn, aims to change the work requirements for SNAP and Medicaid.

For SNAP, the amendment replaces the existing subparagraph (A) in section 6(o)(2) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 with a requirement to engage in work as described in section 407(c) of the Social Security Act.
For Medicaid, the amendment replaces subparagraphs (A) through (E) in section 1902(xx)(2) of the Social Security Act with a requirement that the individual is engaged in work as determined under section 407(c).
