What this amendment would do

This is amendment SA 2747, submitted by Mr. Lee. Its purpose is to add provisions relating to the advanced manufacturing production credit within the bill.

Specifically, it aims to change how the phase out percentage works for eligible components. Under the text, the phase out percentage is set at 75 percent for eligible components produced during calendar year 2025. For calendar year 2026 or any subsequent calendar year, it is set as the phase out percentage for the preceding calendar year reduced by 10 percentage points.

Additionally, the amendment adds rules stating that any credit amount reduced under this paragraph shall be rounded to the nearest cent, and the Secretary shall annually publish the credit amount determined under this subsection after the application of this paragraph. These changes apply to eligible components produced after December 31, 2024.
