What this amendment would do

This amendment, known as SA 2711, was submitted by Mr. Schiff and Ms. Hirono. Its main purpose is to stop immigration enforcement at certain locations.

It aims to add a restriction on immigration enforcement at farms.
It blocks any Federal, State, or local agency from using funds from this subtitle to carry out an immigration enforcement operation at a farm.
The only exception is if they are executing a judicial warrant of a violent criminal.
