What this amendment would do

SA 2690, submitted by Mrs. Murray, aims to change a portion of amendment SA 2360 to bill H.R. 1.

The amendment proposes the following:

  • It replaces specific text from page 922, line 15, through page 923, line 20, to include an assessment of costs to taxpayers when the Administration does not comply with court orders.

  • It adds SEC. 100102, which appropriates $1,000,000 for each fiscal year from 2025 through 2028 to the Director of the Federal Judicial Center.

  • These funds are to be used for continuing education and training programs for judicial branch personnel, specifically including training on the costs to taxpayers of the Administration's noncompliance with court orders.
