What It Changes and Adds

Strike section 88001: The amendment completely removes section 88001 from the text.
Add section 90008: The amendment adds a new section at the end of subtitle A of title IX titled HIRING AND DEPLOYMENT OF CHILD WELFARE PROFESSIONALS.
Funding for child welfare: It provides $50,000,000 in funding for fiscal year 2025 to the Department of Homeland Security. This money stays available until September 30, 2029, and is specifically for hiring and deploying child welfare professionals at the Office of Health Security.
