What this amendment would do

Mr. Peters submitted this amendment, known as SA 2653, to change a specific part of the existing bill by striking section 90103 and replacing it with new funding instructions. As folks we elected to look out for our best interests, it is our job to see where this money is going.

What It Aims to Change and Add

Office of Management and Budget Funding: It adds $1,000,000 for the Office of Management and Budget for fiscal year 2025. This money is meant to stay available until September 30, 2029, and must be used to find budget and accounting efficiencies in the executive branch.
Cybersecurity Grant Programs: It adds $99,000,000 for the Department of Homeland Security for fiscal year 2026. This money stays available until it is spent, and it goes toward grants for State, local, Tribal, and territorial governments to improve cybersecurity and critical infrastructure.
