What this amendment would do

This amendment was submitted by Mr. Reed. Its purpose is to hold the line on keeping us safe by changing section 40008 of the bill.

What It Changes

  • It completely strikes the original section 40008 and replaces it with a strict rule.

  • It bans the use of any funds appropriated by the act from being used to eliminate National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration programs that provide data and services to protect life and property from natural disasters.
