What this amendment would do

  • This amendment was submitted by Ms. Cantwell and Mr. Durbin.

  • It strikes section 40003(a)(2) of the text and inserts a new provision.

  • The new provision provides $3,000,000,000 for radar systems replacement.

  • Out of that amount, not less than $150,000,000 must be available to hire, train, and recruit airway transportation system specialists who support and repair air traffic control and navigation systems.
