Mr. Schumer submitted this amendment to keep our elected officials accountable when it comes to spending our hard-earned tax dollars on presidential travel.

What The Amendment Aims To Change

This amendment adds a strict rule to the bill: None of the funds made available by the Act can be used to buy, modify, fix up, or maintain any aircraft that was previously owned by a foreign government, a group controlled by a foreign government, or a representative of a foreign government if that aircraft is meant to be used for presidential airlift options.
