What this amendment would do

Mr. Peters submitted amendment SA 2571 to keep energy resources home. The purpose of this amendment is to prohibit the export of energy resources.

What It Aims to Change

This amendment adds a new section to the bill that changes the rules for energy extracted from public lands and public waters. Specifically, it states that energy resources extracted from any lease sale required by the Act may not be exported, no matter what else is in the Act.
