What this amendment would do

Mr. Lee submitted SA 2550 as an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 2360 to the bill H.R. 1.

The purpose of this amendment is to change the text of the bill starting on page 715, line 22 through page 716, line 9.

It aims to replace that section with specific definitions for individuals, including an alien who is lawfully admitted for permanent residence under the Immigration and Nationality Act, and an individual who lawfully resides in the United States in accordance with a Compact of Free Association.
