What this amendment would do
Changes to the Bill
- Deduction added: Allows Federal, State, or local firefighters and law enforcement officers to deduct expenses paid or incurred in connection with the performance of their official duties from their adjusted gross income.
- Corporate tax rate adjusted: Changes the corporate tax rate in section 11(b) from 20 percent to 20.5 percent.
- Effective date: Applies these changes to taxable years beginning after December 31, 2025.
