Purpose and Changes

This amendment delays the effective date of the Act. Specifically, it states that the provisions and amendments made by the Act will not take effect until a specific condition is met.

• Each State must complete a study.
• Each State must submit a report on that study to Congress.
• The study must look at the number of individuals currently enrolled and receiving medical assistance under a State plan or waiver, or enrolled in a health plan offered on the American Health Benefit Exchanges, who would lose coverage as a result of the Act taking effect.
