What this amendment would do

MR. PETERS submitted amendment SA 2517 to hold our officials accountable and make sure taxpayer money isn't handed out where there is a clear conflict of interest. Common sense tells us that the people we vote for shouldn't be cashing in on government deals.

This amendment aims to add specific restrictions to the bill. It blocks funds from being used for any contract, grant, or cooperative agreement with a company if a Federal official or employee, including a special Government employee, has financial holdings equal to or greater than $100,000 in that company.
