S.Amdt. 2498

Mr. Kim submitted this amendment, numbered SA 2498, to the bill H.R. 1. Its main purpose is to fund watchdogs so we can keep an eye on our government and make sure officials are playing by the rules.

What It Changes and Adds

The amendment adds a section to the bill that gives money to investigate corruption and the abuse of power. Specifically, it provides $10,000,000 for fiscal year 2025 to each office of an inspector general of an agency in the executive branch of the Federal Government.

• The money will remain available until it is spent.
• The funds are to be used to investigate any conflicts of interest, which includes conflicts of interest for special government employees.
