What this amendment would do

Mr. Kim submitted this amendment, known as SA 2488, to be proposed to another amendment on the bill H.R. 1. If we want to hold our officials accountable and look out for the people, it is important to see where the money is moving.

Where the Money Goes

The amendment changes the special appropriations for Coast Guard mission readiness found in section 1181(a)(10) of title 14, United States Code.
It reduces the amount in subparagraph (C) from $2,729,500,000 down to $1,429,000,000.
It adds a brand new item at the end, providing $100,000,000 specifically for tuition assistance for members of the Coast Guard.
