What this amendment would do

Mr. Kim submitted amendment SA 2481 to be proposed to another amendment on the bill H.R. 1.

  • The amendment changes section 309(j)(11) of the Communications Act of 1934.
  • It strikes subparagraphs (A) and (B) and inserts three new subparagraphs regarding where specific authority shall not apply.
  • The new rules state that the authority shall not apply between the frequencies of 3.1 gigahertz and 3.45 gigahertz.
  • It also states the authority shall not apply between the frequencies of 7.4 gigahertz and 8.4 gigahertz.
  • Finally, it states the authority shall not apply in any band of frequencies of which the Federal Aviation Administration is the primary user.
