What this amendment would do

Purpose and Changes

The amendment adds a new effective date rule to the bill.
It states that Title 1 and its amendments will not take effect until a specific condition is met.
The Administrator of the Food and Nutrition Service must first certify that these provisions will not increase the number of children who are obese or living with a diet-related disease.
This certification is measured by comparing the numbers to what they would be if the provisions and amendments were not enacted.
