What this amendment would do

Mr. Schiff submitted amendment SA 2471 to the bill H.R. 1.

The amendment aims to add a Reversionary interest provision to section 50301(f) of the bill.

It adds a rule stating that if housing is not constructed on a tract of covered Federal land conveyed under the section within 5 years after the date it was conveyed, the land must revert to the United States.
This reversion happens only if the Secretary determines that the housing has not been constructed by that 5-year deadline.
