What the Amendment Changes

Mr. Schiff and Mr. Kelly submitted this amendment to be proposed to the bill H.R. 1.
The amendment adds a new tax specifically for public officials who make money from issuing digital assets.
Under this change, any income a public official or a related person gets from issuing a digital asset will face a 100 percent tax.
This rule applies to taxable years that begin after the date this Act is enacted.
