As folks who want to make sure our elected officials are held accountable, let's look straight at what is on the table here. Mr. Peters submitted amendment SA 2417 to be proposed to another amendment on the bill H.R. 1.

Purpose and Changes

This amendment aims to change a section of the Communications Act of 1934 by striking two existing subparagraphs and inserting three new ones. Specifically, it states that certain authority shall not apply in specific areas:

Between the frequencies of 3.1 gigahertz and 3.45 gigahertz
Between the frequencies of 7.4 gigahertz and 8.4 gigahertz
In any band of frequencies of which the Department of Transportation is the primary user
