What this amendment would do
Mr. Lee submitted amendment numbered SA 2207, which was ordered to lie on the table. The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to reorganizing government.
What it Aims to Change or Add
The amendment aims to add a new section to the concurrent resolution that allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to make certain changes. Specifically, the Chairman may revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
These adjustments can be made for legislation relating to reorganizing and eliminating Federal departments and agencies. The amounts provided are based on such legislation, as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
