What this amendment would do
MR. LEE submitted amendment numbered SA 2206 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14, which establishes the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and sets forth budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to emissions standards.
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
This is for legislation relating to ensuring that a single State does not exert undue influence in national policies, including by eliminating waivers for national emissions standards, as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit over the period of fiscal years 2025 through 2029 or fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
