What this amendment would do

Mr. Tuberville submitted amendment numbered SA 2156 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.

The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund. This fund allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to make adjustments and revise allocations for legislation that focuses on a specific rule regarding federal funding.

The amendment aims to change or add provisions relating to prohibiting the provision of Federal funds to certain entities. This restriction applies to any State, local educational agency, or institution of higher education that permits a biological male to participate in an athletic program or activity designated for women or girls.

For the purposes of this text, a person's biological sex is recognized solely based on a person's reproductive biology at birth. Any legislation created under this fund must not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
