What this amendment would do
Mr. Schiff submitted amendment SA 2147 to the concurrent resolution on the congressional budget for fiscal year 2025 through fiscal year 2034.
- The amendment adds a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to supporting energy projects that create or maintain local jobs and energy generation.
- It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
- It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to supporting energy projects that create or maintain local jobs and energy generation, which may include the payment or completion of signed contracts or award agreements.
- This action is permitted as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
