What this amendment would do

MR. KELLY submitted amendment SA 2133, which aims to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to saving critical investments in land port of entry modernization and expansion projects.

The purpose of this amendment is to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to protecting land port of entry projects.

This includes legislation that would protect funding for land port of entry modernization or expansion projects, as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
