What this amendment would do
Mr. Schiff submitted this amendment, known as SA 2094, to the concurrent resolution for the fiscal year 2025 congressional budget.
-
The amendment aims to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to protecting children from cancer.
-
It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
-
These adjustments are for legislation relating to protecting children from cancer, which may include prohibiting funding cuts to programs that support pediatric cancer research.
-
The changes can only happen if the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
