What this amendment would do

MR. GRASSLEY submitted amendment SA 2071 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.

The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to United States district courts reporting requirements. It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other levels for legislation that requires district courts to conduct analyses and issue reports.

Specifically, these reports would quantify the number, frequency, and related metrics of judicial orders within their jurisdiction that issue non-party relief or otherwise restrain or compel executive or Federal agency actions. The reports must also include determinations regarding the scope of authority underlying those orders and the aggregate cost impact of each order on the taxpayers of the United States.
