Mr. Booker submitted SA 2061, which is an amendment intended for the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to the promotion of workforce development and access to job and skills training.
What It Aims to Change or Add
- It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
- It allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to the promotion of workforce development and access to job and skills training.
- It specifies that this training may include mentoring programs for in-school youth and re-engagement centers.
