What this amendment would do
-
The amendment sets up a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to reducing mortgage costs for American families.
-
It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
-
These revisions and adjustments can be made for legislation relating to reducing mortgage costs for American families, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
