What this amendment would do

Mr. Wyden submitted amendment numbered SA 1994, which was ordered to lie on the table. The purpose of this amendment is to establish a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to preserving and ensuring current federally approved access to mifepristone.

What It Aims to Change or Add

  • It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.

  • It allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports.

  • These revisions and adjustments are for legislation relating to preserving and ensuring current federally approved access to mifepristone, provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
