These adjustments are meant for legislation that supports local law enforcement agencies. This can include ensuring that local law enforcement agencies and communities do not have to pay the bill for unfunded Federal mandates. The changes can only happen as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
