What this amendment would do

Mrs. Shaheen submitted amendment SA 1943 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14.

The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to replenishing United States defense stocks sent to Ukraine.

What It Aims to Change or Add

  • It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.

  • It allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to supporting defense readiness, which may include replenishing United States defense stocks sent to Ukraine.

  • It applies the condition that the legislation must not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
