What this amendment would do

Mrs. Shaheen submitted amendment SA 1940 to the concurrent resolution for the congressional budget for fiscal year 2025. The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to health care parity for members of the Armed Forces under the TRICARE program.

What it aims to change or add

The amendment aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to make changes and adjustments for legislation concerning certain goals, as long as it does not increase the deficit over the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034. Specifically, it relates to:
