What this amendment would do

Mr. Van Hollen submitted amendment SA 1865 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14. The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to Inspectors General funding.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to Inspectors General. This can include increasing resources and support for Inspectors General to investigate improper conduct by the United States DOGE Service, provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2025 through 2034.
