What this amendment would do
MR. WARNER submitted SA 1846 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.
- The purpose of this amendment is to create a point of order in the Senate against considering a reconciliation bill, resolution, or related conference reports and amendments.
- It aims to add a rule that triggers this block if any employee has been placed on administrative leave for more than a total of 10 work days in violation of section 6329a(b)(1) of title 5, United States Code, during that calendar year.
- The amendment allows this point of order to be waived, suspended, or sustained on appeal only by an affirmative vote of three-fifths of the Members of the Senate, duly chosen and sworn.
