What this amendment would do
MR. WARNER submitted amendment numbered SA 1844. The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to prohibiting cuts to critical health programs, which may include preventing the institution of a Medicaid per capita cap policy.
This amendment aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to prohibiting cuts to critical health programs and preventing a Medicaid per capita cap policy, as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit over the total fiscal years of 2025 through 2029 or 2025 through 2034.
