What this amendment would do
Mr. Budd put forward SA 1757, which deals with setting up a deficit-neutral reserve fund. As folks we elected to look out for us, we need to know what they are trying to change.
What It Aims to Change or Add
-
The amendment aims to give the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate the power to change allocations and make adjustments.
-
These changes are specifically for legislation relating to detaining and deporting migrants who assault police officers.
-
The only rule is that this legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
