-
Mr. Bennet submitted this amendment, numbered SA 1755, to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.
-
The amendment creates a deficit-neutral reserve fund specifically for Head Start or Early Head Start programs, and for prohibiting any action that would reduce resources for those programs.
Its Purpose
-
The purpose is to allow the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to revise budget allocations and adjustments for legislation relating to Head Start or Early Head Start programs, or relating to prohibiting any action that would reduce resources for such programs.
-
This is only allowed if the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
